Biography as an MBSR teacher - Dr. Do
Dr. Do is a qualified teacher with the UC San Diego Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Certification program. At California State university Fullerton, she facilitates Mindful Mondays for staff and faculty, gives workshop on Mindfulness to the Allied Health Student Association, the Facilities Management, taught a webinar for the College of Education and presented at retreats, for the Diversity Inclusion and Equity Office, the Nursing Department... She volunteers for the various support groups of St Joseph 0C Caregiver Resource Centers, including the Brain Injury Survivor group, Caregivers group, Chronic Pain group... She presented Introduction to Mindfulness and Brain Research to various Youth organizations including the Buddhist Light Youth Orchestra, Boy Scout troups, LaHabra Middle School, Cabrillo High School, Bodhi Academy and the Frogwarts summer camp. As a member of the Interbeing Order (Thich Nhat Hanh) since 1991 she has practiced Mindfulness for over thirty years in sanghas at Plum Village (France), Maple Village (Montreal), Blue Cliff Mountain (NY), and Deer Park (CA). Dr. Do has guest-lectured about Mindfulness across the continent for college and university courses including psychology, music, religious studies, and the humanities. Future projects may include Mindfulness sessions with Vijay Gupta, for the Young Musicians Foundation, and resource creation for Vietnamese teachers and youngsters, with Dr. Phe Bach, (Ph.D. in education).
